CAN Bus Test System

Designed to perform simulation and communications across a CAN bus. This custom electronic/software test system interfaced to sixteen Engine Control Modules (ECU) that are connected simultaneously to the test system.

Each ECU is supplied with four simulated transducers. As the ECU’s are monitored across the CAN bus, a custom LabView application collects data for each module. Each test system channel has a unique dip-switch selectable address.

This turnkey Test System included the following:

PCBA design & build for system electronics
PCBA design & build for custom backplane
Hardware packaging and enclosure
Control Software (written in National Instruments LabView)
All ECU Interface Cabling and hookups.

Puritan designed this custom system to the customer’s exact specifications. A total of six systems were built.
